The Chef
Chef José Serrano was born in the wonderful gastronomical city of Lisbon on the 16th of March 1979. Spending most of his childhood in Estoril, where he studied, at the colleges of St. Julians and Salesianos of Estoril. His love for gastronomy manifested early in life. Asking his grandmother, from an early age, to help her with the cooking followed by tasting sessions with the rest of the family. And that passion only grew stronger with time. At the age of 18 he enrols in the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies being an exemplary student up to the Sixth Form. Despite his young age already has a remarkable journey in the culinary world, his dynamic and curious personality has had him constantly looking for new challenges and to raise the bar at every new dish. The creation of thepersonalchef then arises from his experience of providing unforgettable meals to friends and relatives, resulting in their praise and recommendations thereof. Recognizing a business opportunity where his passion for food and to please the palate is coupled with a service so sought after by customers who appreciate fine cuisine and who like to feel unique.
